Trishala, a 17 year old undergrad at Rutgers University, dreams of a career as a researcher. She is also very passionate about dancing and has been learning Bharatanatyam under the tutelage of Smt. Ramya Ramnarayan since she was 10. In the Summer of 2008, she (along with her sister, Anoushka) she successfully completed her Arangetram. Trishala has helped choreograph most of the dances that have been presented at Hidden Gems performances. In addition to dancing, Trishala has also been learning Carnatic music for the past since 2004. While at school, she has been a member of various clubs/organizations like Medical Futures, Junior Statesmen of America, Asian Cultural Club, Habitat for Humanity, the National Honors Society and the Spanish Honors Society. Trishala is also a community minded person who volunteers at the local Public library and is a member of the Youth Advisory Council there.
